To reinforce our belief in the value of FEC testing and the quality of test that we can offer, we have recently invested in the OvaCyte FEC system. This should streamline the process and give even greater accuracy. We offer in house faecal egg counts (FEC) for worms and fluke, with results usually available the same day.

Resistance to wormers is increasing across the UK. Treating animals at the right time with the right product, and knowing the treatment has worked, is essential to slowing down anthelmintic resistance. Don’t wait until you can see that the wormer hasn’t worked and growth rates have suffered. FECs can; help determine the need to treat, test the efficacy of previous treatments, give information on the amount of contamination going on to pastures for later in season and rule out worm burdens when stock is looking ‘off’.
